Sealyhams 

The Sealyham Terrier is a native Welsh breed that was created by Captain John Tucker Edwards of the Sealyham Estate, from which the breed takes its name, in Pembrokeshire West Wales in the mid 1800’s.

In 1910 the breed was recognised by the Kennel Club.

Early 1920’s Sealyham had reached a high in popularity.

There were many famous Sealyham owners in the past, HRH Princess Margaret, Alfred Hitchcock ( A whole pack of Sealyhams steal the show in the film “Storm in a Teacup”), for example.

In more present times the breed in on the Kennel Clubs list of native vulnerable breeds.
